He will

He will go before you

If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for tomorrow we die.

(Isaiah 45:2)

Many times, the road the believer is called to travel is as described in our passage for today. The road can be crooked, hard, and harsh sometimes. It’s refreshing to read that the Lord promises to lead the way. It does not matter what lies ahead if the one who knows the way through the wilderness is the one we are following. He said, “I will” not once but twice. Nothing can change the outcome when He makes a promise that juicy, no matter how crooked the way may be. It matters not if the gates are made of iron or brass. The One who created them all is leading the way. You will break through all.
Just make sure you let him be in the lead. It is dangerous to be even one step ahead of Him. The one who steps ahead of Him runs the risk of travelling in a crooked place and running into doors of brass and walls of iron.
I remember my father owning a farm in an area where rattlesnakes crawled around freely. He was fearless and could kill two poisonous rattlesnakes at one time. I always felt very safe whenever he was around when I had to go to the farm.
The One that goes before us crushed the head of the serpent, has the key of David, opens so no man can shut, and shuts so no man can open. You are in good company when you have Him leading your team along life’s highway. Your crooked places shall be made straight, gates of brass in front of you shall be broken, and bars of iron shall be completely broken in Jesus’ Name.
