Kale is delicious and nutritious. Stir-fried, steamed or blended in a smoothie it adds health to your diet. It gets even better. You can grow your own!
Plant a few seeds 1/2 inch deep in a 3 inch pot. Water once a week by soaking the soil until it runs out the bottom. Keep the pot in a place that gets at least 4 hours of full sun every day. When the plants are a few inches high they are ready to go into a larger pot that is at least 10 inches deep. Remember organic soil will give better flavor.
You don’t have to wait 2 months for them to be fully grown. Kale can be harvested earlier for a more tender result.
